For the past year and a half, he has been coordinatingMédianes Sphera, a network of independent European media outlets that promotes editorial collaboration across Europe (444, El Salto, StreetPress, VD News, etc.). A core belief underlies this collaborative project: by pooling their strengths and resources, independent media outlets are better equipped to stand together against anti-democratic forces.
But how can we effectively guarantee and strengthen this independence—which is not only editorial but also economic and technological? For this new edition, the Sphera Media Lab—an English-language event organized by Sphera in collaboration with European Lab/Arty Farty—will bring together media outlets from across Europe to discuss these issues and share our solutions to these challenges.
This year, it will take place on December 3, 2026, at LaVallée in Brussels. Throughout the day, you’ll be able to attend lectures, master classes, and workshops to brainstorm concrete ideas and solutions that we can implement together within media organizations and newsrooms.
These discussions will continue with an evening event dedicated to freedom of the press and freedom of information. You’ll have the opportunity to attend a preview screening of the documentary produced by Sphera, which explores the attacks and threats facing journalists in Europe today through their own testimonies.

It is open to you no matter where you are in the world, as long as your proposal aligns with our themes and is part of a European vision.
You can propose a presentation to us in one of these two formats:
- The masterclass is designed to provide practical, actionable recommendations and advice.
- The “keynote” format: an inspiring presentation based on a real-world case study.
