In France and elsewhere
Hello, everyone,
The Médianes team has been working on creating a book for several months now. We are thrilled to announce today that it has just gone to print 🥲
"Create a Media" Médianesis available for pre-order for 14 euros at the online store.
To celebrate its release, we’re hosting a launch party on Tuesday, April 2, at 7 p.m., at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. The program features a panel discussion on the question “Why and how should we create an independent media outlet?” featuring insights from several founders: Juliette Quef (Vert), Johan Weisz-Myara (StreetPress), Éric Fottorino (Le 1), and Florent Peiffer (Urbania). The event is free and open to everyone, subject to availability.
Are you more on the other side of the Atlantic? Baptiste Thevelein and I are in New York to organize a workshop on newsletters as part of The Audiencers’ Festival. This Thursday, we’ll be at Axel Springer with Kelly Poe from The Washington Post, Dan Oshinsky from Inbox Collective, and Marion Wyss from Poool, and on March 15 at The New York Times. If you’re in the area, feel free to say hi ☕️
In this month's announcements: new projects with La Déferlante, Disclose, and Les Jours; the continuation of our collaborations with Kometa and POLITICO; and our participation in the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy.
Enjoy the read!

⟶ Digital Support for La Déferlante
Since 2019, Médianes has been supporting the feminist magazine La Déferlante in its strategic, marketing, design, and technical development. After nearly four years of collaboration, we are delighted to strengthen our support on digital and graphic design matters.
⟶ A new client, Disclose
We are pleased to begin a collaboration with Disclose, an investigative journalism outlet and NGO. What’s at the heart of this mission? Consulting and action plans to support the team in their marketing and digital communications strategy.
⟶ Kometa and POLITICO have reaffirmed their confidence in us
Working with POLITICO on their new website and with Kometa on their launch had already been exciting experiences for Médianes. As the year gets underway, we’re supporting POLITICO’s French editorial team with communications and media relations. Recruitment and technical challenges: we’re also continuing to support Kometa.
⟶ A newsletter design project with Les Jours
To kick off the year on the right foot, we’re working with the team at the online media outlet Les Jours on the graphic design of a new newsletter. Until we can tell you more, we invite you to check out the portfolio of our art director, Christelle Perrin.
⟶ Heading to Italy
Marine Doux and Baptiste Thevelein will participate in the Perugia International Journalism Festival. Marine will have the pleasure of moderating a panel discussion on newsroom management. The discussion will feature Federica Cherubini (Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism), Clémentine Forissier (Contexte), and Anup Kaphle (Rest of World). Will we see you there?
