Our Case Study
Hello, everyone,
In this newsletter, which takes a behind-the-scenes look at the studioMédianes, we’ll try to disprove the old saying and see if cobblers really do have the worst-shod shoes. For over two years, we’ve been collaborating with both emerging and established media outlets, publishing houses, schools, and incubators, and if there’s one topic that comes up frequently in our discussions and projects, it’s management.
Why are journalists often such poor managers? In our view, on the one hand, it’s a matter of initial training, which often leaves these topics out and relegates them to on-the-job learning of skills that are anything but innate. On the other hand, management—which traditionally comes as a promotion after years of “hands-on” experience—is often perceived as a disconnect that prevents people from doing what they really want to do.
So today, we’re not suggesting you revolutionize your practices, but we’ll at least share how we organize ourselves here Médianesat [company name] to ensure the entire team has the best possible working conditions. You’ll also find the latest news from the studio, featuring 60 Million Consumers, Kometa, Mediavivant, and ereb.
Finally, we look forward to seeing you next week, on Friday, June 2, for the Web2Day Media Day in Nantes, which we are pleased to be co-organizing; and in Marseille at the end of June for the “48h de la pige” event.
Enjoy the read!

⟶ A new partnership with 60 Millions de Consommateurs
We are delighted to begin a new project with *60 Millions de Consommateurs*, published by the Institut National de la Consommation, focusing on its digital platforms.
⟶ Kometa: Putting the East at the Center of the Map
For the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of helping launch Kometa. From the launch itself to positioning and value proposition, marketing and communications strategy, tools, and the landing page—we’re proud to be working alongside this talented team.
⟶ A New Milestone for Mediavivant
Bringing news to places where it doesn’t usually reach is the mission of Mediavivant, a Marseille-based organization that is looking to expand its reach and is launching a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule to prepare for a new season of exclusive investigative reports.
⟶ Country — *Les Ardennes* is available for pre-order
The magazine we’re talking about, which Médianesco-founded, will focus on the Ardennes in its next issue. An independent journalistic guide featuring 168 pages of investigations, features, and stories to help readers discover this little-known region. This time, the pre-sale campaign is taking place directly on the magazine’s website.
⟶ Cafébabel becomes ereb, with Médianes
After 22 years, Cafébabel is transforming into ereb, the first multilingual, cross-border European media outlet that tells the story of Europe through the eyes and voices of its citizens. The adventure begins with the launch of the bimonthly newsletter In Vivo. It’s an exciting project that we’re thrilled to be a part of.
